Improvements in Modeler 25.4.0
Modeler Highlights
Added Bar Labels to Stacked Bar and Marimekko Charts
Stacked Bar and Marimekko charts now support configurable top labels.
- Options include name, total, percentage, and/or a custom expression
- The layout automatically adjusts to accommodate labels (similar to existing bar charts)
- Labels work with positive and negative values, and with horizontal and vertical charts
- There are full formatting options for labels, including font properties and layout
Added Bridge (Waterfall) Charts
Charts now include the new Bridge (Waterfall) chart type, which shows the cumulative effect of sequential increases and decreases.
- Available from the matrix Charts drop-down, Format Toolbar, and Canvas charts
- Supports only one column of data; depth, elevation, and rotation are not available
- Assign colors to four bar types: First, Last, Positive, and Negative
- Optionally draw connecting lines between bars
- Displays a user-friendly message if the chart cannot be drawn due to insufficient columns
Added Stacked Bridge Charts
Stacked Bridge Charts are now available as a new chart type in Quantrix Modeler. They combine waterfall functionality with stacked bar chart behavior, allowing multiple columns and accumulated results.

- New chart type: Stacked Bridge/Waterfall (2D)
- Access points:
- Insert Chart View drop-down (new icon and tooltip)
- Canvas toolbar Add Chart View drop-down
- Chart Type > 2D Charts menu
- Format Toolbox > Chart > Chart Type drop-down
- Features:
- Labels inside bars and optional bar total labels
- Color slices by series rather than positive/negative
- Supports connectors, auto-range, and formatting options
- Handles positive, negative, zero, and empty values
- Behavior:
- Empty bars treated as zero deltas
- Mixed positive/negative values draw connectors from the side
- Negative totals in final column draw below origin
Compatibility:
- Import/Export as template supported
Important
Models with stacked bridge charts cannot open in older versions
Enhanced Scripting Model Browser Folder/view Management
Scripting now supports creating and moving folders in the model browser, moving views, retrieving folder details, and renaming or deleting folders. Auto-complete includes model browser scripting options.
Using scripting, you can:
- Create a new folder (with permissions)
- Set folder name
- Move a folder or view
- Retrieve all folders in the model
- Create folders inside other folders (including inside a model)
- Rename or delete folders (models cannot be deleted)
- Move a view or folder into another folder at a specified index
- Get a list of children for a folder or the model
- See folders in pipe selection auto-complete
New scripting support includes:
- Folder interface
- Name property for folders and views
- Children property for folders
- Browser node object (represents a folder or view, with type = folder)
- Model enhancements:
- browserNodes property
- Ability to create folders
- Folder API to move other model browser entries into it at a specified index
- ViewOrFolder interface extended by View and Folder
Improved Modeler Logging with Rotating Logs
Modeler logs are now written to dated log files, archived for a configurable retention period, and stored in the user’s home directory for easier access. Older logs are compressed and deleted after the retention period.

application-2025-10-08-1) - Archived as
.gzfiles for 30 days by default - Stored in
<user home>\.quantrix\logs - Retention period configurable via
-Dlog.retention=<days> - Logs persist across restarts; new log starts when date changes., and older logs are compressed and deleted after the retention period.
Improved Error Handling for Stack Overflow Exceptions
Error handling is improved for certain StackOverflowError cases: these exceptions are now caught and logged.
Updated OAuth Libraries for Security
Libraries that support OAuth workflows in Quantrix Modeler and Qloud have been updated to remove dependencies on insecure libraries and address related security concerns.
Important: Customers using Data Import for Salesforce may need Salesforce Administrators to approve Quantrix Modeler and Qloud as authorized Salesforce Connected Apps.

Qloud Highlights
Ability to Grant Manage Permissions When Sharing Models
When a model owner shares a model, they can now grant recipients Manage permissions (if the feature is enabled by a Qloud administrator). Users with manage permissions can:
- Download the latest version of the model
- Access the Versions pane (Download, View, Revert)
- Share the model with other users
Important:
- Manage permissions apply only to models that are not copied from a template.
- To enable this feature, contact Qloud Support. For self-managed instances, add the following line to configuration.properties:
quantrix.qloud.models.allowManageAccess=true
Ability to Add Canvas Objects via Scripting on Qloud
The create canvas object scripting methods createMatrixView(), createChartView(), and createTextBox() now run correctly on Qloud.
Expanded SSO Support for OpenID Connect-Compliant Identity Providers
Qloud now supports SSO via any identity source that complies with the OpenID Connect standard. Specific products tested by Quantrix and confirmed to be compatible are Microsoft Entra ID, Azure ActiveDirectory B2C, and Okta.
