Filter expression in Import Data

There is the working filter for the regular matrix:

Trying to apply the same filter in the Import Data setup is unsuccessful.

Can I apply a similar filter in the Import Data setup? If so, how? If not, why not?

Rich, whether you know the reasons why QM-developers allowed values of the imported fields to compare logically in import filters, but forbade even arithmetic operations over them? If there was no such prohibition, the import block in our case would accept the filter:

DataIn > DataOut + CP:: Term, where DataIn and DataOut are imported fields.

At first glance I think what you are asking should work, but upon further thought I don’t think it should. This screen shot attempts to explain some of my thoughts:
The expression does not work because other than SD being the source for DIM data there is no other link for the data to relate. The item SD::DataOut has no link to DateIn within this Matrix, so Quantrix has no way to evaluate this expression.
I suggest adding your logic for filtering to the SD Matrix then you can pull that item(field) into the DIM as a filter.
