I have a ton of Lotus Script I would like to put into Quantrix Modeller: How is that done please?

Hi – you all might be interested in the new scripting engine that is part of the upcoming Quantrix 4.0 release.

Two of our users participated in a webinar and demonstrated their scripts that implemented optimization, iteration and monte-carlo type concepts. You can view the webinar here:

If you would like to try out scripting in 4.0 please send an email to [email:26oqaryx]support@quantrix.com[/email:26oqaryx].

Oops.. I misread the date of registration of the forum member as the date of the post.

Anyway, for choice of scripting language, how about considering Python or Jython, its Java equivalent?

This was discussed in the forum in 2003. What’s the status of introducing a scripting language for Quantrix?

Hi Scott,

While you can extend Quantrix using the Java API – we recognize this can be a bit ‘heavy’ for some use cases. We are considering our options for introducing a ‘scripting’ or ‘macro’ language to Quantrix.

Please know that I have added your vote in our database for this feature and will keep you and the forum community apprised of any new developments in this area.

This is a very old thread – but is there any progress in implementing scripting within Quantrix? Does 2.0 support it yet?

Thanks,
Scott Weiss

Hi Gilbert:

Quantrix Modeler version 1.0 will not have any scripting capabilities. However, we have a prototype developed and we are finalizing the public API right now. Scripting has a very high priority on our future 1.x release list.

We will be seeking beta testers of our scripting engine so stay tuned!
