Hey Guys,

I’m kinda new to Modeler Pro so I just have one question.

Can it be used for scheduling purposes? If so please let me know how. Also if you can give me a few tips (how to) that would be great. Thanks guys.

PS: It really looks like it has potential to grow.

I agree, this is a great feature…

Just right click on a cell and choose ‘Constrain input’ … ‘List’ …

Building the list is pretty much self explanatory from the dialogue.

Mike,

How did you get the drop down dialogue box “inside the cell”? I would love to be able to do that!

This may help get you started.

I took this Microsoft Office Employee Scheduling Excel Template:

[url:1908kchm]http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC062561761033.aspx[/url:1908kchm]

And converted it a Quantrix Model. Concepts used were:

– Conditional Formatting to color the cell background based on the cell value.

– Constrain Input to restrict the value of the job cells to the available jobs in the Employee Jobs Matrix

– Added a week dimension so that multiple weeks can be kept in the same model.

This may help you get started – but if not or if you have any additional questions, please don’t hesistate to post again.

Thank you for your response Mike.

Yes I’m looking to use this software for Employee Resource Scheduling purposes.

I have 10 to 15 employees and I want this software to possibly calculate and display a chart like design of the schedule. This will help me visualize the schedule. If you need more details please let me know, thank you.
