Charting, how to format the data axis

Hello,

I have read the manual and the methods used there do not work for me.

I need to set smaller font for the data labels (name of the items). I have tried to click the axis, but the only axis I can set anything to is the other axis (values).

How is this done ?

Thank You

Hi,

We do not currently have a keyboard shortcut to collapse or expand an item. In addition to using the tool bar icons for collapse and expand, and Format –> Item…, you can also right click the item and choose Collapse or Expand from the menu.

Hello,

I have tried this so many times yesterday. It didn’t work. After I read your post it works (I noticed hower if you have many items in the chart it becomes harder to click on the axis). I feel rather stupid, because what You told me corresponds with manual and yesterday I couldn’t click on the axis to make the litttle circle to show itself.

PS: Is there a keyboard shortcut for command collapse, expand ?

Try clicking the axis line with the labels (when you do this you should see a small circle at both ends of the axis). Then click the Format botton and choose the Font tab. Here you should be able to change the size, font, etc. of the labels on that axis.

Let me know if this works for you and if you have any more questions.
