Repeated Cold boots with Quantrix

I downloaded quantrix about 45 minutes ago and have already had 2 cold boots. (By cold boot, I mean the machine was rebooted without the usual shutdown procedures and had to go through the checkdisk etc.)

One occured at the end of installation and the other when I tried to open the template I had downloaded from Quantrix support. Have others had this experience?

I used to use Improv, but mainly its predecessor Javelin for years. I loved Javelin and hated having to give it up. So I was very excited when I read about Quantrix in PC magazine.

I am running on a 1.3 GHz Gateway running win2K. These two coldboots are the only time this machine has ever done anything like this, so I doubt it is the hardware.

Philip,

I have emailed you directly with some steps to write out a system log file in Quantrix to allow us to further troubleshoot the problem. I will update the forum community with any resolutions that we find.

Regards,

-Mike

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0xbba46c34, 0x00000000, 0x0002d984). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:WINNTMinidumpMini042905-02.dmp.

The two dmp files were hexidecimal. I could email if you wish.

Hello Philipw – Thanks for the post:

I am wondering if there are any messages in your Windows event viewer that would be useful. Should be located in the Control Panel > Administrative tools. Please post what you find or email to [email:1zv9wpnh]support@quantrix.com[/email:1zv9wpnh].

If anyone else out there has had similar experiences, please feel free to post.

Thank you for your interest in Quantrix.
