Hi – with version 4.1 I am noticing a message during the datalink refresh – “Checking problems”. This seems to slow down the datalink significantly, and no problems apparently are found as the datalink completes normally. What problems is the datalink checking for, and is there any way to remove or speed this up?
Hi Mike. I share J Scott’s view. Checking problems may slow down recalculation, data import AND script execution when there is some innocuous imperfection in a model. I enclose a model with a script named “Clean import” which deletes a list of items. The deletion causes formula errors, which are intercepted by “checking problems”, I suppose. Anyway, the script execution is very long and a “concurrent execution” error and a “null pointer” error are raised.
