Hi,

Is there a way to pull parameters for a Datalink query from a matrix in the model? I know you could do it through QAPI, but is there a way to do it through the GUI (without the programming overhead)?

If not, are there plans to implement a feature like that in the next version?

Mike,

I am suggesting that the qualifiers of the data link be dynamically generated by the contents of a matix. In a sql statement, for instance, the “where” predicate would be defined totally by an expression that would pull parameters from a matrix.

The object is to be able to change the qualifiers of the datalink output by changing the contents of a matrix instead of having to enter the datalink wizard.

Hi Vince – Just to make sure I understand… do you mean you would like to pull a text string of how each DataLink panel is set up for the matrix?
